Background:

These Terms and Conditions are the standard terms for the provision of services by QEC Ltd. trading as Quantum Energy Coaching (QEC) a Private Limited Company registered in England, whose registered address is Long Drive, Exton Lane, Exton, Exeter, Devon, EX3 0PN, England.


1. Definitions and Interpretation

1.1. In these Terms and Conditions, unless the context otherwise requires, the following expressions have the following meanings:

“Business Day”

means any day other than a Saturday, Sunday or bank holiday;

“Calendar Day”

means any day of the year;

“Agreement”

means the contract for the provision of Services, as explained in Clause 3;

“Deposit”

means an advance payment made to QEC Ltd. under sub-Clause 5.5;

“Month”

means a calendar month;

“Price”

means the price payable for the course and services;

“Services”

means the services which are to be provided by QEC Ltd. to you as specified in your Order (and confirmed in Our Order Confirmation);

“Special Price”

means a special offer price payable for Services which we may offer from time to time;

“Order”

means your order for the Services;

“Order Confirmation”

means our acceptance and confirmation of your order as described in Clause 3;

“We/Us/Our”

means QEC Ltd, trading as Quantum Energy Coaching (QEC) a Private Limited Company  registered in England, whose registered address is Long Drive, Exton Lane, Exton, Exeter, Devon, EX3 0PN, England;

“You”

means the person, individual or company purchasing the service. 


1.2. Each reference in these Terms and Conditions to “writing” and any similar expression includes electronic communications whether sent by e-mail, text message, or other means.

3. The Agreement

3.1 These Terms and Conditions govern the sale and provision of Services by Us and will form the basis of the Contract between us and you.  Before submitting an order, please ensure that you have read these Terms and Conditions carefully.  If you are unsure about any part of these Terms and Conditions, please ask us for clarification.

3.2 This agreement relates to the QEC 4-day Residential Retreat at Bore Place in Kent, United Kingdom (sometimes referred to as “the/this retreat”, “the/this event”), which occurs from the 11-15 May 2025

3.3 This retreat is exclusively available to to certified QEC practitioners, and all participants must be over the age of 18 years old.

3.4 Bookings close between 7 days before the 11th May 2025.

3.5 By registering and paying for this retreat, you agree to the conditions as stated in this document. 

3.6 QEC Ltd. and Dr Melanie Salmon reserve the right to refuse you entry to - and participation in - this retreat prior to the start date. In the very rare event of this occurring, you will be fully refunded.

3.7 QEC Ltd. and Dr Melanie Salmon reserve the right to ask you to leave the retreat at any time. You will be notified of the decision and informed of the reason, either in writing, in person, and/or via telephone, or virtual call. Should this occur, you understand that you will be refused further entry and will be reimbursed for half of the amount that you have paid.

3.8 QEC Ltd. and Dr Melanie Salmon reserve the right to change, amend, update and/or omit the retreat content, flow of events and agenda, suppliers, meal plans and accommodation arrangements. 

3.9 By registering and paying for this retreat, you agree to fully complete the QEC medical indemnity form and all other necessary registration forms, and return it to Anima at connect@qecliving.com, prior to the start date of the course.


4. Price and Payment

4.1 The price of the service and training will be that shown on our website and in the marketing communication (such as flyers, emailers) in place at the time of your order.  If the price shown in your order differs from our current price we will inform you upon receipt of your order.

4.2 Our prices may change at any time but these changes will not affect orders that we have already accepted.

4.3 The standard fee for booking your place at this retreat is £895. Early Registration discount is offered to those who register and pay before the 1 July 2024. The fee for the early registration is £795.

4.4 All prices include VAT.  If the rate of VAT changes between the date of your order and the date of your payment, we will adjust the rate of VAT that you must pay.  Changes in VAT will not affect any prices where we have already received payment in full from you.

4.5 Before we begin providing the service, you will be required to book and pay either the full course fee or the first instalment of the payment plan, as indicated on the web page: "QEC 4-day Residential Retreat at Bore Place (Kent, UK). 4.6 Payment plans are available on full price bookings, not Early Bird, and start from the moment of purchase/first successful payment. Each instalment will automatically be delivered from the credit/debit card or payment method that was used to register for this retreat. The following conditions apply for the payment plan:

4.6.1 Payment plans are active from the moment you pay the first instalment/ purchase. Only then will your place at this retreat be secured. 

4.6.2 Payments are automatically delivered monthly, from the card/payment method used to order this service/register for the course.

4.6.3 All payment plans include a small processing fee that is paid directly to the service provider. 

4.6.3 You agree and commit to paying the full amount (total) of the payment plan - that is the monthly amounts for the required period of time - within 10 months from the first payment.

4.6.4 Should the payment deduction/delivery fail, you agree to settle the amount within 7 days, by either, a) adding funds to the initial card/payment method, b) updating the credit/debit card and/ or payment method, c) arranging an alternative means of payment, in writing, with QEC Ltd. and/or Dr Melanie Salmon. 4.6.5 The full amount of the payment plan must be made to QEC Ltd. within a maximum period of twelve (10) months from the first monthly instalment. 

4.6.6 Should you decide to leave the retreat, for whatever reason, no refunds will be allowed.

4.6.7 In the rare event that you are asked to leave the retreat by QEC Ltd. and/or Dr Melanie Salmon for whatever reason, you are eligible to receive a refund.

4.6.8 Should you decide to leave the retreat for personal reasons, it remains at the discretion of Dr Melanie Salmon to allow a refund. If you feel that you need to leave the retreat, please discuss this with Dr Melanie Salmon directly to resolve the matter. Otherwise, the above cancellation conditions will apply.

4.7 The fee only includes the cost of accommodation, food and teaching/ facilitation services by Dr Melanie Salmon. The cost of all transport and travel will be for the participants expense, and not that of QEC.


5. Refunds and Cancellations 

5.1 You may cancel your order at any time before we begin providing the Services by contacting us. The refund and cancellation policy will apply (as stated in section 5.2). Requests to cancel orders need to be made in writing in advanced. Please understand that payments will need to made to the venue and food providers in advanced, therefore we need to follow a strict cancellation policy.

5.2 The following refund and cancellation policy applies: 

5.2.1 Our cancellation period is 30 days from the day you book for a refund to your original payment method. Cancellations made outside of the 30-days will not be issued a refund, this includes payment plans.

5.2.2 If you decide to leave the retreat, for whatever reason, you will not be entitled to a refund. However, if the reason is beyond your control, we will consider your circumstances and see if we can offer a resolution that might work for you. However, this is at the discretion of QEC Ltd.

5.2.3 Should you be asked to leave the retreat by QEC Ltd. and/or Dr Melanie Salmon for whatever reason, you will not be issued a refund. 


6. Participation and attendance 

6.1 In order to be eligible to attend this retreat, you will need to be certified at a QEC Practitioner by Dr Melanie Salmon.

6.2 The accommodation is provided for a total of 20 people. Participants will receive an individual bed for sleeping, however, bedrooms will be shared. Other facilities such as, bathrooms, kitchen, living space and other communal areas will be shared.

6.3. All main meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) will be provided to participants, and meals will be vegetarian. If you have any allergies or eating conditions that QEC should be aware of, please let Anima (connect@qecliving.com) know as soon as possible, and no later than 31 December 2024. 

6.4 You understand and accept that you are attending this retreat at your own risk and not the responsibility of QEC Ltd. Furthermore, QEC Ltd, Dr Melanie Salmon and the service providers, including, Bore Place, are not responsibly and carry zero liability for any stolen, missing or damages to your personal belongings. 

6.5 You agree to behave in a respectful, professional and appropriate way that does not breach the laws or regulations of the United Kingdom, or that risks bringing QEC Ltd. or the suppliers, including Bore Place, into disrepute.

6.6 Ensure that you have adequate insurance for your own requirements, including personal accident and travel insurance, prior to attending this retreat.

6.7 The content at this retreat is not intended to be a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified health provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay in seeking it because of something you have heard at this retreat.

6.8 The views and teaching expressed at this retreat are solely those of Dr Melanie Salmon, based upon her lifetime of professional learning as a medical doctor and Gestalt Psychotherapist. This retreat does not constitute medical or other professional advice. Dr Melanie Salmon and QEC Ltd. cannot be held responsible for any damage caused by the comments and opinions expressed at this retreat. Reliance on any information provided by Dr Melanie Salmon is solely at your own risk.


7. Confidentiality

7.1 When participating in this retreat, you agree to maintain the strictest level of confidentiality at all times, unless the sharing of information is required by law.

7.2 You agree not to record, photograph, replicate, store or distribute, in any manner, the teaching, information and content of this retreat, unless prior permission is granted in writing by QEC Ltd and/or Dr Melanie Salmon.


8. Conduct

8.1 You agree to conduct yourself appropriately at all times according to the QEC Practitioners Code of Conduct and Ethics, found here: https://qecliving.com/pages/qec-practitioner-code-of-conduct-and-ethics 


9. Providing the Services

9.1 Participants understand and accept that the agenda and content of this training will be decided by Dr Melanie Salmon, and may change at any time, at her discretion.

9.2 As required by law, we will provide the services with reasonable skill and care, consistent with best practices and standards.

9.3 We will make every reasonable effort to complete the services on time.  We cannot, however, be held responsible for any delays if an event outside of our control occurs. QEC Ltd and/or Dr Melanie Salmon reserves the right to change the dates/schedule, venue and meal plans.

9.4 Should you require and agree to receiving additional support, mentorship or supervision, which is above and beyond the offering of this retreat, you will need to pay the additional fees.

9.5 In certain circumstances, for example if we encounter a technical problem, we may need to suspend the service in order to resolve the issue.  Unless the issue is an emergency and requires immediate attention we will inform you in advance in writing before suspending the service.

9.6 If you do not pay for the services as required, we may suspend the service until you have paid all outstanding sums due.  If this happens, we will inform you in writing. 


10. Problems with the Services and Your Legal Rights

10.1 We always use reasonable efforts to ensure that our provision of the service is trouble-free. If, however, there is a problem we request that you inform us as soon as is reasonably possible.


11. Events Outside of Our Control (Force Majeure)

11.1 We will not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where that failure or delay results from any cause that is beyond our reasonable control.  Such causes include, but are not limited to: power failure, internet service provider failure, strikes, lock-outs or other industrial action by third parties, riots and other civil unrest, fire, explosion, flood, storms, earthquakes, subsidence, acts of terrorism (threatened or actual), acts of war (declared, undeclared, threatened, actual or preparations for war), epidemic or other natural disaster, or any other event that is beyond our reasonable control.

11.2 If any event described under this Section (11) occurs that is likely to adversely affect our performance of any of our obligations under these Terms and Conditions:

11.2.1 We will inform you as soon as is reasonably possible;

11.2.2 Our obligations under these Terms and Conditions will be suspended and any time limits that we are bound by will be extended accordingly;

11.2.3 We will inform you when the event outside of our control is over and provide details of any new dates, times or availability of Services as necessary.

13. Complaints and Feedback

13.1 We always welcome feedback from our customers and, whilst we always use all reasonable endeavours to ensure that your experience as a customer of ours is a positive one, we nevertheless want to hear from you if you have any cause for complaint.

13.2 All complaints are handled in accordance with our complaints handling policy and procedure, available at https://qecliving.com/pages/qec-practitioner-code-of-conduct-and-ethics 

13.3 If you wish to complain about any aspect of your dealings with Us, including, but not limited to, these Terms and Conditions, the contract, or the services, please contact us in one of the following ways:

14. Acceptance 

14.1 By purchasing/ordering/registering for this retreat, you agree that you fully understand and accept all of the terms and conditions as stated above in this document.
