AUSTRALIAN INTERNATIONAL GESTALT TRAINER comes to Somerset West February 2018

GESTALT 3 DAY WORKSHOP: CONNECTION and RUPTURES IN CONNECTION

Most of us yearn for connection to be seen, heard and valued for who we really are.  And yet deep connection often eludes us and many struggle with intimacy and the shame that is experienced when we feel we are not fully met. We can feel isolated, excluded and marginalised.

From childhood onwards, we may not be accepted for who we really are. In the attempt to connect we may shape ourselves into whatever we perceive is acceptable to others, and over time, we can lose our true inner identity altogether.  This process is often imbued with shame.  Shame results from a loss of connection, which then furthers our disconnect.

This 3 day workshop on connection is facilitated by Australian International Gestalt Trainer Steve Vinay Gunther. In essence we will learn and explore experientially our personal and relational connections. We will look at how we avoid connecting and how to change our relationships at work and home, into ones we truly find meaningful. We will be looking at all relationships that results in inclusion/exclusion and belonging/not belonging, whether personal, professional, or in the wider cultural context of South Africa today.
